The Inklings-Lauren Brooks

The Inklings-Lauren Brooks
One of the most interesting things out of Lewis’s life has to be his being part of the group The Inklings. I almost feel like our class at Nona’s turned into a weekly American Inklings group. I really like the discussion that was sparked, but at sometimes it was hard to concentrate in the casual environment. There are quite a few differences between the two groups and the main one I noticed is that our group is diverse when it comes to gender and race. We have multiple different perspectives represented in our class and it’s really interesting to hear the discussion and the disagreement even between the teacher and the students. Although our teacher does have some authority over us I feel like he is on our level and uses his experience in a helpful way and not in a way that would hinder student participation. It would be interesting to rate the difference between student participation in this environment and compare it with that of a traditional classroom environment.
