Aslan's Goodness - Lindsay Conrad

In The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Lucy asks is Aslan is quite safe after she voices her concern about being in close quarters with a lion. She was told "Of course he's not saf,e but he is hood." This parallels to the concept of God. To say He is safe is foolish, but to know the goodness of God is wise and sure. As the children continue on in the book, they face many trials as we do when we choose a lifetime of following God, but the goodness and mercy that is rained down on us each and every day gives us the power ot continue forward. I believe that looking at the sense of goodness in Aslan easily relates to God and the awe-inspiring power of a mighty warrior with the gentle goodness of a kind father. Life following him is full of trials but sure to help you grow in faith and be able to be a witness to the goodness and mercy he provides each and every day. Lewis seems to know that in the statements he made and in his heart as h e writes the books.
